Update on Miss G

Georgia had surgery yesterday morning to remove another mass from her hip area. The vet said surgery went well and the mass will be sent for biopsy this week. Since we have Ga's lumps checked every few months to make sure they are not cancerous, I am trying not to worry. Georgia is spending a few days at the vet recovering before she comes home. She is missed!! Coming home without her bouncing around, barking and excited is just not the same!

Look forward to having her back home soon! We love and miss our baby G!

Sweet GA...

Georgia managed to inflame a cyst on her hip and will have surgery to remove tomorrow morning. She has had 12 of these nasty cysts removed in the past 7 years and is always a real trooper! Please say a little prayer for our sweet Ga......

My friend, Gina is a dedicated mother who makes motherhood and career seem easy (and without a nanny)!

My friend, Jenn who is a mother-to-be (Sept 09) has patience unlike any person I know.

My second mom, Mom "V" is a loving sincere mother and a truly amazing woman.

My mom, is a mother who overcame obstacles, sacrificed, gave up her own dreams to provide for 3 children on her own. I never really understood until I was in my late 20's all she lost to make life easier for my brothers and I. She is a hard working, determined and dedicated woman. I am extremely grateful for all she has provided me...it has made me who I am today. I can never thank her enough...I appreciate and love you, MOM!

Our Wedding...

All of my wonderful friends have asked about my wedding date...which is sweet, but I still haven't planned a thing! I am very excited about marrying my sweet man, but between trying to get 100% out of debt (hope to hit that goal in 2 more months) and worrying about the economy...I have stalled on any planning. The most important thing to me is I will be Ed's wife. It is just hard for me to turn on the news and hear of so many people being unemployed, families losing homes, etc... I cannot stay focused on the money that would be spent on a wedding. Or ask friends and family to spend money ...at this time when the economy is so bad. I swear ..."ELOPING" ...sounds more and more like a good idea. Then we could use the money that would have went on a wedding for a down payment on a house and have a party to celebrate both our marriage and our home. Is that bad??

Cut or Not Cut ...is the Question?

Our sweet boy Larry, well... he was blessed with enough fur for probably 3/4 dogs. He seems to get super hot and cannot see so well through his mess. We took him in for grooming a few months ago and well when we picked him up, I was soooo sad! He looked like a much older dog and not like my messy little one. So, now of course the fur has grown back and Ed thinks he needs to have a puppy cut, but I cannot bring myself to agree. (I know, I know ...silly...but..) don't you think he looks much better messy ...than neat?

Happy Easter!

Today, I was thinking about Easter one year when I was maybe 10. I am not sure exactly why, but my mother gave me a Tonka dump truck filled with candy for Easter?? Probably because it was easier for her to get me the same thing as my brothers.

(I am NOT a dump trunk kinda-girl, but I sure remember playing with it)

This year, however my sweet man brought these home in celebration of Easter.

Yes, our nephew is adorable!

Cooper is growing up so fast, he has 8 teeth already! He truly is the most adorable little man ever. We were lucky enough to visit over Valentine's Day weekend...and ah, how I love spending time with them. Indeed, I wished we lived closer so we could see them weekly but for now it will be trips every few months (and lots of photos).

SNOW!!

Beautiful day of snow falling ...without ice/sleet. Larry seemd to like running and sniffing through the snow...even though he ended up.. soaked. Georgia on the other hand was shaking and barking non-stop!

Healthy GIRL at 12 years!! YAY!

Miss Georgia got an excellent bill of health today from the vet! We took her to get her annual shots, blood work, etc and everything came back perfect ...with the exception of her sodium count being a little on the high side (and that we kinda figured since Larry has a fascination with his reflection in the water bowl and continues to drink so that it moves the reflection..until the bowl is dry....talk about issues!). So good news on our little girl!
